These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GoSharp Global Services Ltd ("we", "us", "our") about your use of the Christian Singles mobile app, this website and related services (together the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the documents they point to: the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Donations Policy, the Paid Groups Terms and the Moderation and Appeals page. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
This page is written in plain language on purpose. Headings are there to help you; they are not part of the legal meaning.
1. Who can use Christian Singles
- You must be at least 18 years old. We do not allow anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
- Christian Singles is a community for Christians. At sign-up you confirm that you are a Christian and that you agree to the Community Guidelines. We record that confirmation with the date and the version of the document you saw. We do not test, rank or judge anyone's faith, and a confirmation is not a promise that other members share your beliefs.
- You must give true information, be legally able to enter this agreement, and not be barred from using the Service by any law that applies to you.
- You may hold one account. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use only: no selling, advertising, recruiting or promoting through your profile or messages.
2. Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with your Google account. Keep that email account secure, because anyone who controls it can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens through your account unless you tell us promptly that someone else is using it without your permission and we have had a reasonable chance to act. Your date of birth cannot be changed without contacting us, because it keeps the Service 18+. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
3. How you must behave
The Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. In short: be honest about who you are; respect other people and their boundaries; do not harass, threaten, discriminate, or send sexual content that is not wanted; do not ask for or send money, gifts, gift cards or crypto; do not post contact details in public text (prayer requests, testimonies, group posts) or push people to other apps; do not impersonate anyone; and never involve or target anyone under 18. Breaking these rules can lead to the actions in section 11.
4. Content you post
- It stays yours. You own what you post (photos, text, messages, prayer requests, testimonies, group posts). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as it is on the Service, to host, store, display, format and transmit it so the Service can work and to show it to the people you choose or who can see it under the app's rules. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain in routine backups for a short time, copies kept for the legal and safety reasons in the Privacy Policy, and messages you sent that the other person keeps in their conversation.
- You promise that you have the right to post it, that it is not unlawful, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that photos show you.
- Review. Prayer requests and testimonies are read by our moderators before others can see them. We may also review, hide or remove any content that is reported, flagged by a check, or breaks these Terms. See Moderation and Appeals.
- Other members' content. We do not check everything members post and we do not promise that other members are who they say they are. Treat what you see with care (Safety advice).
5. Reporting illegal or infringing content (notice and takedown)
To report content in the app use Report. To report copyright or other intellectual-property infringement, or other unlawful content, email support@christiansingles.zeeckgroup.com with the subject "Takedown notice" and include: (a) who you are and how to reach you; (b) what the content is and where it appears (a link or screenshot); (c) the right you say is infringed or the law you say is broken; (d) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised or lawful; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and, for a copyright notice, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We act on complete notices promptly, may tell the member who posted it, and give them a chance to respond (a counter-notice with the same kind of details). We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe. Sending a notice you know to be false can have legal consequences for you.
6. Paid features, groups and gifts
- Plus passes. You can buy a Plus pass for a fixed time (weekly or monthly). A pass is paid once, does not renew automatically, and ends on the date shown. We never take another payment unless you choose to buy again, and buying again adds time instead of overlapping. Prices, the currency and what a pass includes are shown before you pay. If you pay in a different currency from your own, your bank may add conversion charges.
- Paid groups. Some groups have a one-time joining fee. The Paid Groups Terms explain what happens if you leave, are removed, or the group closes.
- Gifts. You may make a voluntary gift. It unlocks nothing; the Donations Policy applies.
- Payments. Payments are taken by independent payment providers (Stripe, Paystack and Flutterwave). We never see or store your full card number. Taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) are included in the price shown where the law requires, or added at checkout.
- Refunds and your legal rights. The Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out when we refund, including any right you have by law to withdraw from a purchase.
- Access follows payment. Paid features are switched on only after the payment provider confirms your payment to us. A payment that is refunded, reversed or charged back ends the access it paid for.
7. Ads
Free accounts see ads. Plus passes remove them. See Advertising Disclosure. We are not responsible for what advertisers say or sell; ads are not endorsements, and no ad is shown during chat or on sign-up consent, safety or payment screens.
8. AI features
Some optional features (for example conversation openers) use an AI service. Suggestions can be wrong or awkward. They are shown only to you and nothing is sent unless you send it. We do not send your messages, photos, location or faith details to the AI provider for these features. A computer never decides on its own to ban an account.
9. Meeting people safely
You decide whether to talk to or meet anyone. We do not carry out criminal-record or identity checks on members. A verification badge shows only that a person matched a selfie to their photos. Follow the Safety advice, meet in public, tell a friend, and never send money. If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number first; reporting to us is not an emergency service. Emergency numbers by country are in the app's Safety centre.
10. Our service and changes to it
We work to keep the Service available and safe, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful content. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you have paid for before it ends, we refund the unused part of that payment. We may limit actions (such as swipes or messages) to stop abuse.
11. Suspending or ending accounts
We may warn you, hide content, limit features, suspend or close an account if you break these Terms or the Guidelines, if we must by law, if you put others at risk, or if you cause us harm. We act in proportion and, unless it would put someone at risk or the law stops us, we tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal (Moderation and Appeals). You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. When an account is closed for breaking the rules, unused paid time is not refunded except where the law or the Refund and Cancellation Policy says it is.
12. Third-party services and links
The Service uses services from others (for example Google, app stores, payment providers and email delivery). Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for websites or services we do not run.
13. Our rights
The Service, its design, software, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as these Terms allow. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, resell or attack the Service, use bots or fake accounts, or collect other members' information.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty that the Service will meet your expectations, that you will find a partner, or that other members' statements are true. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have under a law that cannot be changed by agreement, including consumer-protection rights such as the right to goods, digital content and services that are as described and of satisfactory quality, and the right to a remedy if they are not.
15. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, opportunity or goodwill, or for what other members say or do, and our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or USD 100. None of this limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, for anything the law says cannot be limited, or any right you have as a consumer or data subject.
16. If you cause us loss
If you breach these Terms or the law in a way that causes a third-party claim against us, you will cover our reasonable losses from that claim to the extent the law allows. This does not apply to a consumer where the law does not allow it.
17. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, and the courts of Botswana have jurisdiction, but this does not take away the mandatory consumer-protection rights, or the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, that the law of your country of residence gives you. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere where such rights apply, those rights stay in force.
- Before starting a formal claim, please write to support@christiansingles.zeeckgroup.com and give us 30 days to put things right. Most problems are solved that way.
- We do not ask you to give up your right to go to court and we do not use mandatory arbitration or class-action waivers.
- You can also complain to your local consumer or data-protection authority.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, the law or our practices. We will post the new version here and change the version number. For a material change we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies (sooner only where the law or safety requires). If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before it applies, and we refund the unused part of any pass you paid for. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the change.
19. General
- If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business and will tell you if that affects your data.
- These Terms and the documents they point to are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies, except where the law requires otherwise.
- We may send you notices in the app or by email. You can send notices to us at the address below.
